About Us

Who we are, why we do what we do, and how.

True Companions VetVan is a mobile veterinary practice serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area (with some visits to north-central MN) offering a variety of common and unique services.  Our ultimate goal is to enrich the bond between people and their pets. We strive to provide outstanding veterinary care, customer service and client education for each family we serve, and we build an environment which fosters compassion, trust, and respect for clients, patients, team members and the community.

We strive to expand the limits of traditional veterinary care by bringing the veterinarian to the pet, rather than forcing the pet to make it to us. We believe that mobility restrictions should not limit the quality of care available to a pet.

Your pet is more comfortable at home. Don't take your pet to the vet, bring the vet to your pet!

Dr. Raeyna and Tuba

Dr. Raeyna Modrow-Longtin

Dr. Raeyna was born and raised near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After graduating from vet school, she spent over 6 years working in and managing a private small animal practice before moving on to Banfield, a large corporate practice. She spent more than 7 years with Banfield practicing, managing hospitals, and training other doctors before deciding it was time to "go it alone" and bring a unique value to veterinary clients with in-home care. With her broad base of experience in different practice styles, Dr. Raeyna took the the best parts of these diverse environments and created something better! In addition to providing house call care, she is very involved in the rescue community.

In 1999, Dr. Raeyna completed her training with IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society). This has benefited her patients greatly in the areas of pain management, anxiety, and many others where “western” medical techniques can be less effective.

Dr. Raeyna lives in Cottage Grove with her husband Shane, kids Jordan and Michael, dogs Tuba, Percy, and Worf, cats Malinka, Sweetie, TK (Toilet Kitten), Trouble, and Mister Moby Cat, and geckos Clarence and Dwayne. Her daughter's horse, Willow, resides elsewhere.
